Counselor Sydney Williams, LAC
Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, Sydney M. Williams has dedicated her life to serving children, adolescents, and young adults in various settings, including hospital inpatient and outpatient programs, as well as court-mandated services. Now thriving as a school counselor, Sydney helps young people embrace their emotional selves and navigate the complexities of life withresilience and self-awareness. A proud graduate of Trenton Public Schools, Sydney actively participated in community initiatives such as the Trenton Children’s Chorus and Project SMILE/Gear Up, which helped shape her commitment to empowering youth. Following high school, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Bloomfield College and later pursued a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kean University. Sydney’s lifelong vision is to strengthen urban communities by fostering vulnerability and open dialogue around mental health awareness. She is deeply passionate about educating and encouraging children and families to take ownership of their mental wellness, emphasizing that healing and growth can emerge from even the most painful experiences. Her mission is to empower others to find their voice, strength, and power, ensuring that mental health is recognized and embraced as a cornerstone of personal and communal well-being.
